Emma Blair MCSP SRP graduated from the University of Brighton with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2000.

She then worked at Maidstone Hospital in Kent, where she completed her junior rotations and began to specialise in neurology.

In 2003, she moved to High Wycombe, where she gained varied neurological experience in both acute and rehabilitation settings, and on the intensive therapy unit.

She has worked with patients who have suffered from different neurological conditions, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, head injury and Parkinson's disease.

In October 2005, as the lead physiotherapist, she helped to establish and develop the Stroke Unit at Wycombe Hospital, which involved educating staff members on how to handle and care for stroke patients. She also set up weekly multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure that patients were given the best possible treatment.

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN), and joined heads up! in November 2006.

Anna Hamer MCSP SRP qualified in 1982 from St Thomas' Hospital, London.

She started to specialise in neurology in 1985 at the Royal Free Hospital, London, a regional neurological centre, and has had many years specialist experience within the NHS. 

Anna is involved with clinical teaching and is an expert witness in her field. She is one of only 14 Bobath Tutors in the UK and a member of the British Bobath Tutors Association, the International Bobath Instructors Tutors Association (IBITA) and the British Association of Bobath Trained Therapists (BABTT - paediatric).

Anna is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and also of the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP), the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) and the Expert Witness Institute (EWI).

Virginia Grant MCSP SRP graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in November 2000 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. She then worked at a private rehabilitation centre in Melbourne's bayside suburb of Brighton where she undertook her junior rotations.

Virginia was actively involved in starting a Parkinson's Disease rehabilitation programme and gained valuable experience working alongside a leading Parkinson's Disease consultant.

She left for the UK in early 2003 and worked as a locum in various neurological settings including acute, community and rehabilitation. She joined the heads up! team at the beginning of 2005.

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).

Michelle Liddicut MCSP SRP graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from Melbourne University in November 1999. She then worked for three and a half years in Melbourne, including a senior role at an acute trauma hospital working with neurological patients who had suffered from head injury, stroke and various other neurological conditions.

After arriving in the UK in 2003, Michelle worked as a locum in various neurological settings including the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Her experience spans neurological ITU, in-patient stroke and neurosurgical patients as well as in-patient and out-patient neurological rehabilitation.

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP).

Miranda Oberman MCSP SRP graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 1999. She then worked at St. Richard's Hospital in Chichester to complete her junior rotations before taking a senior post, specialising in neurology.

Her roles included working on the newly established Stroke Assessment Unit, the Stroke Rehabilitation Unit and Donald Wilson House (the Young Person's Disabled Unit). She gained experience working with newly diagnosed strokes, spinal cord injuries, head injuries and long-term neurological conditions.

She moved to Cambridgeshire in 2004, where she worked as a senior physiotherapist in the community and in out-patient settings. She worked with an Integrated Rehabilitation Team, supporting people with long-term neurological conditions and facilitating hospital discharge and the return home for people with newly diagnosed stroke, head injury and spinal cord injury.

She also helped in the development of a hydrotherapy service for people with neurological conditions and with the setting up of physiotherapy groups for people with multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.

She has spent some time overseas as a volunteer physiotherapist, including working in Bangladesh in their nationally acclaimed Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Dhaka.

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN). She joined heads up! in March 2007.
