Golf ClinicMaintaining distance and accuracy is every golfer’s aim. And both these come down to the quality of your golf swing. Because the swing is a complex movement involving the whole of your body, any neurological disorder which causes muscle imbalance or weakness, or limits movement, can lead to problems with your performance. The heads up! Golf Clinic works with golfers who have had a stroke, or who have balance problems or early Parkinsons. Treatment is provided by Anna Hamer, a keen golfer who has been playing for over 20 years. As well as her training in neurological physiotherapy, she has has also been trained in the biomechanics of the golf swing. A diagnosis of problems is made after an analysis of your weight transfer, backswing and stance – as well as your balance during the striking of the ball and in the follow through. Treatment is tailored to address these problems and an individually designed home exercise programme will be developed for you. Our goal is to help you develop more efficient weight transference and better core stability and balance, so that you can play more enjoyable and successful golf. Please contact Sally Watt, our Practice Manager, on (01306) 888171 if you would like to book an assessment.
