Talks & Lectures

heads up! staff have given talks to local groups supporting people who have had strokes, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.  We are always happy to discuss the requirements of such support groups.

Courses

We have run post-graduate courses in conjunction with BBTA (British Bobath Tutors Association) on the Bobath Concept and it’s application in the assessment and treatment of adults with neurological conditions.

We have run study days on various topics:

  • Physiotherapy following stroke
  • Assessment and treatment of the upper limb
  • Re-education of Balance
  • Walking – getting back on your feet following neurological disorders
  • Multiple Sclerosis

Clinical Workshops have also been run in various settings, hospitals, nursing homes and physiotherapy clinics.

How can we help?

Almost everything people do depends on being able to move. Much of the enjoyment and satisfaction we get from our lives comes from activities which require some amount of movement. Our treatment is hands on and designed to help with movement difficulties and for those who have lost confidence in walking.
